Ingredients
450g dried chestnuts
175g sugar
50g drinking chocolate
50g dark chocolate
Grated rind of 1 orange
Grated rind of 1 tangerine
Mixed spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc.)
Cloves
Water
Directions
- Put the chestnuts in a pan.
- Add sugar, drinking chocolate, dark chocolate, grated rind of 1 orange, grated rind of 1 tangerine, mixed spice and cloves.
- Add enough water to cover the chestnuts
- Bring to a boil and simmer until the chestnuts are tender, about 1 hour.
- Serve hot in a cup or a bowl.
